Good evening students! I hope you guys had a relaxing winter break and are energized to get back on track with doing your projects. Your next short assignment is due this Thursday 3/1/12. You are to do a mini investigation on the significance of our next trip destination, the World Trade Memorial in NYC. What tragic event occured in NYC that prompted the world trade memorial to be built? What is the meaning behind the memorial?
Your task is to not only answer these questions but to also interview a family member who recalls the tragic day of September 11, 2001. You can ask them questions such as where they were when they event took place, did they know any one who was involved in the event first hand, such as a victim, or emergency service worker, etc. I would like for you to gain as much background know of this landmark before Friday. You will need to submit your writing assignment to our blog under the Trip Responses link by Thursday, March 1st. Go to the top right hand side after clicking on the trip responses link and the click on new post. This will open up the space for you to type your response. Make sure to include your first and last name. See you Friday!

Good evening BOOST students and parents. Please be reminded that some children have not signed up for our blog and need to do so as soon as possible. Memebers should give a gentle reminder their classmates to sign on either on their classroom computer, in the lab or at home. You can assist a member if they are have difficulty logging on.
Also parents, please be reminded that your next $25 payment for our D.C. trip is due Wednesday, 2/15. After Feb. 15th, payments will only be accepted from those parents who have locked in their seat with their $50 payments. The next payment of $25 will be due on 3/1 and the final one on 3/15. Please adhere to these dates and be reminded one parent per child is allowed, no exceptions.

Good afternoon BOOST students! This is a reminder for those students who have not done so already, please give Ms. Brown your removeable disk before the end of the day on Monday, February 13th. You will need your pictures as you see your powerpoint project information is on our blog. Please be reminded to post your trip assignements on the blog space and begin to respond to your friends responses.
To place your work in the blog under trip responses do the following. Right click and select all in your saved document, highlight it and click on copy. Log in to the blog and click in trip responses. Place your cursor in the white space and right click and paste. Your document will appear. Let Ms. Brown or me know if you have difficulty doing this. Final Project- Power Point Presentation
Greetings BOOST Students,
I have posted the outline for your Final Presentation. Please click on the Assignment Tab to access this information. Also, many of you have not submitted your flash-drives. I have files such as: pictures and video from the United Nations trip, The Power Point Template, and instructions that I would like to upload onto your flash-drives. You have until Thursday, February 9, to submit your drives to me!
Both Ms. Haigler and I will be examining your work in the classroom as well as behavior. We will also be discussing your progress and commitment to the activities and assignments in Project BOOST.
Do Not fall behind!

U.N.Assignment Reminder

Good evening BOOST parents. Please be reminded that if you are planning to go with us to Washington D.C. your 1st non-refundable deposit of $25 was due today (2/1/12). Your next payment is due by 2/15/12. Please note that all February payments ($50) need to be made by the 15th of this month to ensure your seat for the trip.
