Good evening students! I hope you guys had a relaxing winter break and are energized to get back on track with doing your projects.  Your next short assignment is due this Thursday 3/1/12. You are to do a mini investigation on the significance of our next trip destination, the World Trade Memorial in NYC.  What tragic event occured in NYC that prompted the world trade memorial to be built?  What is the meaning behind the memorial?  


Your task is to not only answer these questions but to also interview a family member who recalls the tragic day of September 11, 2001.  You can ask them questions such as where they were when they event took place, did they know any one who was involved in the event first hand, such as a victim, or emergency service worker, etc.  I would like for you to gain as much background know of this landmark before Friday.  You will need to submit your writing assignment to our blog under the Trip Responses link by Thursday, March 1st.
