Greetings BOOST students,

Wow! Time is flying by.  We are getting closer and closer to our trip the Washington D.C. and I am so very excited!
I wanted to take this time to let you all know that Ms. Haigler and I are really proud of the work that you have done thus far.  Although some of you have had issues with posting your work on time, overall we have to give you guys credit for being able to work independently on your writing projects, stay focused and communicate with regularly on our blog and via email.
Now I know you've been asking, "What are we gonna do next?"

Well here it is.  Below, you will find a list of activities that we have developed especially for you.
Each project will be posted separately, so that you have enough time to complete each assignment, and not become overwhelmed. If you have any questions, please send your assigned teacher an email and it will be answered as soon a possible.

BOOST Projects and Activities

  • The Nobel Peace Prize:  Biography (click the Assignment tab for further information)
  • Peace Act Project: Mosaic Art Work (We will begin to work on this during the month of May)
  • T-Shirt: You will be designing a Poster for Peace. Your poster will then be scanned into the computer and printed out on transfer paper to create a one of a kind T-Shirt.
  • Fundraiser: (To Be Announced)
  • Washington Monument Essay: Upon our return from Washington D.C. you will use your notes and personal experience to compose a narrative essay about your trip.
  • Prepare to publish your Power Point presentation. (After the spring vacation, I will be working with you during your lunch periods to fine-tune your Power Point presentations.  For now, continue to type your information into your presentation.  We will work together to edit and format changes later)
P.S. Your pictures are ready, so please check your email or bring your flash-drive to the Tech. Lab.

Enjoy your weekend,
Mrs. Brown
